Color in concert
This project was a fully 3D promotional piece for Sherwin-Williams built around a simple, playful idea: treating color like music.
We created a series of animated vignettes where different Sherwin-Williams paint colors took center stage, each paired with its own musical style. As the color changed, the music shifted with it—turning the spot into a visual mixtape of color, mood, and movement.
To bring the concept to life, we designed and animated all-white musical elements—notes, staffs, instruments, and abstract forms—then used high-end fluid simulations to have richly saturated paint interact with and transform them. The result was a rhythmic, tactile celebration of color where paint didn’t just appear on screen, it performed.
The piece premiered at a music festival as an immersive brand moment and proved so successful that the #SWColorLove concept was later expanded into an ongoing social campaign, with Sherwin-Williams highlighting a new color each month.
From look development to animation, fluid sims, lighting, and final polish, we handled the entire production pipeline in-house.
