Stop Motion, Reimagined
For this broadcast spot for Goshen Heart & Vascular Center, we partnered with Brand Innovation Group to bring their origami-heart out-of-home campaign to life on screen. While the concept initially pointed toward practical stop-motion, we landed on a fully 3D approach to gain complete control over texture, color, lighting, and pacing, without sacrificing the handcrafted feel of paper animation.
To ground the work in reality, we began by folding origami hearts by hand, then translated those exact movements into 3D animation. Multiple heart models were created with subtle variations and imperfections, which we cycled through to mimic the natural inconsistencies of traditional stop-motion. Every paper texture was custom-photographed and built in-house, giving the client flexibility to evolve the assets across media.
The final piece is a photo-real stop-motion simulation, down to tiny exposure shifts and tactile detail. It seamlessly extended the brand’s visual language from print and outdoor into broadcast, delivering a distinctive, art-directed spot that felt both human and precise.
