Celebrate Happy
For American Greetings, we were tasked with creating a fully 3D animated birthday e-card set to Pharrell Williams’ Happy—a project that was all about charm, energy, and personality.
We designed and brought to life a cast of playful, dancing characters built from everyday birthday elements: cakes, candles, party hats, gifts, balloons, and streamers. Each character was custom designed, modeled, rigged, and animated by our team, giving them their own unique movement, timing, and attitude.
From initial character concepts through final animation, lighting, and rendering, Spacejunk handled the entire production pipeline in-house. The result was a joyful, character-driven piece that felt handcrafted, expressive, and perfectly in sync with the music—turning a simple digital card into a miniature animated celebration.
It’s a great example of how we blend design, storytelling, and animation craft to create work that’s emotionally engaging, visually distinctive, and just plain fun.
